Welcome to widget travellers....

Hi - if you got here via black boxes, please send me a message.

Despite the general theme of my site, i'm really quite OK.....really!

Welcome anyway whoever you are and wherever you zoned in from. Perhaps you could help me out and tell me what you think is going to happen when/after you die....what do you hope for? Heaven? Nothing? Something alternative?

Look forward to some comments......

Thanks for following me!

Interesting site. I personally believe that each of us experiences whatever it is we believe in. I believe in reincarnation, so in my universe, that's what happens to me and others who also believe in it. Other people may create the more traditional heaven for themselves, and some may cease to be, if that's their personal belief. I'm not a big believer in the universe being a place so much as a dimension, or the energy we create with our combined thoughts.

Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to finding out! Someday, not right now...

Have struggled lately with the number of deaths in my circle of family and friends in the past few years... I used to have a very strong belief in the afterlife - namely being reunited with loved ones who passed before me. Now I'm not sure what I believe. I'm tired of losing people I love. I was married to a man who was an apprentice embalmer in his youth; he died 4 years ago. I do believe each person has an essence which continues on after the body has died - after that I have no real thoughts any more.

Yes, I arrived via the black box. You have an interesting blog Antler.

hey there - I'm from the black box! mmm interesting post and no small subject. briefly then Im going with the belief that its all good after here - all your loved ones and favourite people gather round to meet and guide you. You get great clarity on all the confusion an earthling grapples with; ok so there is some reviewing and possibly counselling to be done - and somepeople jump right back in.
Why do you ask?

I'm quite spiritual. Not talking of in the religious sense. So over the years I have seen what appears to be spirits. I also have experienced a near death experience, so I don't fear death as much. I don't want to die suffering. I've seen enough people die, or dead to know the person, the essence has gone. The waxy look takes over, and I haven't really identified the person as someone I knew. They have gone. I believe and energy imprint can be left behind of a person. Not sure about religious views on heaven, earth, and reincarnation. But I do respect others views on this I've already seen enough hellish things in this world.
By the way I enjoy your blog.:)

Hi there! Got here via the by-now-famed Black Boxes!!

Alas! I have just given the last of my first MBBS examination a few hours ago and my current mental status is in an exhilarated state which is why I would rather chose not to embark on so serious a discussion as the one going on here. But, you can certainly expect me to pay a couple of visits to your fascinating blog later with my views on life after death...

Thanks for all those comments...what is important to me is that everyone has their own unique take on life's big issues - these can be long held, or simply in reaction to what experiences have taught more recently...faith, belief, spirituality and so on ought to be permeable and in flux so that a personality can grow as life progresses....sometimes a belief or 'faith' acts as a support - sometimes it throws up questions, sometimes appears as a brick wall.

We can only learn by dialogue what is in the spaces between us.
